Randy Weitzel - BIO
Randy Weitzel is a highly acclaimed musician, GRAMMY®-nominated songwriter, recording engineer, and esteemed touring guitarist for the renowned band In This Moment, whose albums have achieved multi-Gold and Platinum status. In addition to his contributions to the band's success, Randy's artistic endeavors extend to the world of film. His creative gifts include writing, performing, and recording original music that runs the gamut of styles, from the raw energy of rock and metal, to the intimate melodies of acoustic, and the grandeur of orchestral compositions. Randy's captivating musical creations have garnered multiple recognitions, including an esteemed film festival award for his exceptional work on a short film, solidifying his reputation as a versatile and accomplished artist.
IN THIS MOMENT
Over the last decade, Weitzel has made a name for himself as the snarling guitarist of heavy metal artist In This Moment. Known by the bands’ legions of fans as War Machine, he can be found shredding, scowling, and stalking the stage on tour this summer while also collaborating in the studio as ITM records their 8th studio album.
COMPOSITION
During his most recent tour hiatus Randy joined forces with Director/Script Supervisor Renetta G Amador (Insidious, The Purge, Promising Young Woman) and completed his first original musical score. The horror short film, GUMMIES, is currently in post production.
